VibeCode Kids does not sell personal data. We collect the minimum information required to track a child's learning progress and keep the parent in control.
What we collect
- Parent email address (for local parent setup and product communication)
- Mission completion status, XP, and badges (stored locally on the device by default)
- Optional cloud sync data only after the feature is enabled in a future release
What we do not collect
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) — never
- Location data
- Conversations with third-party AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Third-party analytics SDKs in v1.0
AI tools and separate parent consent
External AI missions require separate parent disclosure consent and a parent PIN before a child can leave the app. When a parent approves Claude, ChatGPT, or another third-party AI service, prompts and code typed into that service are handled by that provider under its own terms. VibeCode Kids does not store those AI conversations and does not use child prompts to train a VibeCode model.
Parents should only approve providers whose terms and privacy settings they accept. Children should never enter their full name, address, school, phone number, or private family details into an AI prompt.
Children's privacy
We follow COPPA-aware design. Parent setup is required before a child can use missions that open external AI tools. External AI tools are gated behind a parent PIN.
Retention and deletion
Learning progress is stored locally on the device by default and is retained until the parent resets progress, deletes the app, or requests deletion from support. Parent consent records are kept only to prove which disclosure version was accepted and when. If optional cloud sync is enabled in a future version, this policy will be updated before launch.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your account data, ask us to delete it, or correct anything wrong at any time. Email pierrondi@gmail.com and we will respond within seven days.
